I just finished up a ton of marketing endeavors on a few other sites tonight after balancing out reviewing an RFP, plus all the household stuff like dinner and pup playtime. (A great email came across today from Colide, a line in there stuck me as so true. A 2nd grader’s comment: It asked, what do mom’s do in their spare time? The answer: Mom’s don’t do spare time. LOL. Even my reading has a purpose. *g*) Happy Mother’s Day weekend to all the mom’s out there who I know.
Anyway, I’ve got Avatar on and keep thinking, I should be writing. (Nick‘s at a show up in Reston at M&S Grill. I don’t do Friday night shows because it’s harder on pup if we’ve been here and there all week. Just a mom thing.) I’m doing all sorts of other productive things (like site enhancements, research, ezine building), just not writing.
But, as far as the new story goes? I’m still people building and crafting worlds in my head and yes, some of it on paper too.
Oh, I know what the first scene is in the new book. I know their names and generally what’s going to happen over all. I’m stuck on something.
It’s silly, really.
I still don’t know exactly what my heroine LOOKS LIKE. See, I told you, it’s a silly thing to be hung up on, but I am. I know exactly what my hero looks like. Tall, lean, lanky, blond hair, green eyes.
I’m stumped on Shia’s looks.
I’ve been researching, wandering through the image files on Google. I’m just not sure what she looks like. Part of it is her history, so trying to find that perfect blend.
How about you? What do you get stuck on before the story is even started?
PS – for those of you who know our cats? Poor Bella this week…had her fur and self so messed up, the vet had to come and shave her down. Our beautiful kitty is feeling MUCH better, but looks like a dark gray lion or French Poodle. Plus, mom with her MRI & knee this week and the well pump deciding to go belly up, it’s been an interesting balance. I did mutter something about being ready to move LOL.
