I’m writing and blogging all the time. What I forget to mention most days is that I’m reading a lot of other people’s blogs as well. Today, I thought I’d share the love of some talented writers and bloggers. I hope you enjoy their writings as much as I do. And, if you find a few new friends in the process, way to go! I’ll be posting up another list of people next week, so if you didn’t make the list this week, come back, you never know when I’ll post up the next list
- J.A. Konrath – not only does he tell you like it is about the publishing process, he details it out so you can follow in his steps. His writing is irreverant and engaging. He just released Draculus with a few co-authors and Nick keeps telling me it’s going to give me nightmares…so it’s got to be good. I love his Jack Daniels novels. He’s a great house guest when he comes to visit and loves staying up all night drinking and talking about writing and storytelling. You can find Konrath on FaceBook and Twitter. Be prepared for his biting humor.
- Candace Havens – this lady is busier than I am and makes it sound fun. Not only is she an entertainment news reporter, she writes fantasically witty stories about women, dragons and dimensions. Add in a hot Harlequin Blaze novel here or there too. She teaches free writing classes online and banters back and forth on Facebook and Twitter with me. I have learned more from her in the last year than I ever did in college writing classes.
- Kristen Lamb – I thought I had social media down, but I learned even more through Kristen’s recent class and her GREAT book “We Are Not Alone” – she helped me through an identity crisis and proved that is better to use your own name, even across genres. More people have found me now and my connections are just increasing each day. You can find her on Twitter, MySpace and FaceBook.
- Kate Johnson (aka Cat Marsters) – she’s British, need I say more? Teasing, as Cat she introduced me to Almost Human, as Kate to Sophie. No matter what she writes, I always grab a copy because her characters suck you in. Find her on Twitter and FaceBook. Shoes, cats and demon puppies!
- William H. Johnson – author of “The Dark Province” – talented, sweet, actor & author. Bill stopped by to visit while he was on tour from the West Coast. He’s a treat to have over and crafts deep stories with lots of layers. And yes, he’s on FaceBook and Twitter too.
- (Do we see a theme here yet???
) - Debra Schubert – musician and writer. I met Deb via twitter of all places! She’s a true gem, helping me through query writing and sharing her own process of edits and more edits. We even dragged her kicking and screaming to FaceBook.

There’s only one Demon Puppy, thank God. Any more and we’d be looking at the apocalypse.
Kate,
Although you could probably write about demon puppies, make a great story.
With all that you’ve written about her, I think the world would be ending if you had more of her
Great list, Sort of forget to read your blogs for like ever.
