Heroes

No, not the TV show...life, well, and movies.

I got to go out tonight and hit the theaters. For some of you, you won't understand the sheer JOY I get out of that. For my growing years, my only movie going experiences occurred when my mom's older brother came to town and took me out to see some silly action flick.

We couldn't afford them otherwise.

Let me repeat that...and let me let you do the math for current pricing. It costs well over $10 to go see a movie for ONE person now. That's just the price of the ticket. Yeah. Growing up...movies were treats. Maybe twice a year. So, me and Arnold,....we're like that. *wraps fingers*...cause my uncle LOVES action movies. The dumber the better LOL.

So, fast forward to a writer's life, and a husband who loves to write reviews. We can hit a few snags. I suspend all disbelief (although, some of the horror movies he reviews, even I have a hard time with THAT....)...and enjoy the experience. He...analyzes. Apparently, I've adapted and learned from him. Now, I look for the holes. Is the CGI bad? Is the writing bad? The list goes on.

Tonight, pre-Mom's day and after what I'd call a bad week for me (ever have one of those weeks where everyone is set out to step all over your ego...yeah, that's been my week)...we went and saw Iron Man.

Mind you, I'm not a Robert Downey Jr fan...he's, kinda....ehhh...but, good LORD, he fits this movie...and no, I could find something to gripe about with the writer's this time around either. Hot damn, I had fun. And was sucked in. LOL.

Thank the Universe for the creative people who are out there with the goal to do their jobs. Push the limit. Make it real.

And thank you for making my week that much better!
Namaste!
