Roller Coaster
As I sit here and listen to the torrential downpour outside (which I can also hear over pup's monitor), I am reminded of all that is.
It has been an insane pace the last few months. I'm not writing, but I am out meeting people and getting my name and face known and recognized. I'm learning about others and learning about their stories in life. And you know what? There are some truly amazing people out there! It's wonderful.
On the flip side, I can't breathe because Momma Earth seems to think 70 degree weather in VA in FEBRUARY is something to do...so all the plants, trees, and grasses are budding. (oh yeah...and all the damn bugs are out too....sighs) Yuck say my sinuses. Thus,...no breathing for me. At least...not well.
I have learned that starting your own business takes patience, panache and poise. And not to mention, perseverance. I'm learning, but I'm finding some great mentors AND learning...or perhaps relearning that sales is all about relationship building...which is something I've always tried to get across to my sales teams...and am now experiencing first hand. I've found a great way to get yourself known and network within your local area, so if you want in on the secret, just ask :) I'll be happy to share.
Thankfully, Cat is supportive through it all. Pup adjusts without too much of a battle...since he loves having more daddy time, and the family has rallied to help when and where I need them. I couldn't ask for more support as I take the dive into running my own business.
And for the record...gods, I'm having fun! I love what I do. I love helping people and this is the introvert speaking...I love meeting new people.
Now, to get cracking on the book to go with the business. :) JT has promised some help in reviewing! I just need to get WRITING!
Namaste!
