Happy Holidays.....

It' s a few minutes to midnight here...Santa has already been and set up the one main toy for pup...not even going to tell you about the insane amount of presents under the tree...only which, half are here so far.

We've had a wonderful holiday celebration tonight with Cat's family; they brought way too many things for us and spoiled pup rotten :) Dinner went off without a hitch...well, it was later than I intended, but at least I cooked scallops correctly for the first time ever....hell, it was the first time I tried to cook them!!!!!!!! Just say thank you to Martha Stewart's "Living" Magazine, to which I am subscribing for the next year, duh. LOL.

It's been a day...arguing with pup about ending the game play on the Play Station in the early am (and yes, he's not yet 4)...to him having pains in his left side at the grocery store...followed by a screaming session about how much he hurt on the way home. Thankfully, so far....just gas pains....we hope * crosses fingers*. He's had a full day and been pain free since the first episode. We'll see how tomorrow goes....of course. (Don't ask me how Christmas morning went last year....).

Overall, without the pup commentary, Christmas last year, very hectic, but family and present filled. This year, we have a ramp on the house so it's easier for Great Grama to get into the house. Our kitchen is huge, so more than 6 people can be in it at once...and yes, you read that correctly. I am working on redesigning it so it's more efficient for holidays and parties AND more energy efficient. I just need an unlimited checking account to go with all my design ideas!

And, thankfully, we have heat...remind me to tell you about the 2 days of trying to get the heat to function this weekend without breaking down to call the HVAC teams in .... that would have been an expensive call, instead, it was an $18 fix! It just took some time for the house to recognize it had been fixed. Yes, I'm sure our house has its own personality. We are us after all, and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

Meanwhile, Cat and I enjoyed the heat from the wood stove, and no, you're not invited to that remembrance ;) Pup went off to play at Nanny & Pop-pop's and the Isle of Sodor they're setting up.

Happy Holidays to each of you :) I wish we could share the holiday spirit across the planet with all of those who are our friends and family, instead, I send out virtual hugs and warm wishes that everyone enjoys themselves and raises a toast in memory for those who have passed on.

Namaste.

Happy holidays to you and have a great New Year! Hope pup is okay. Looking forward to seeing you soon and looking forward to a successful new year. Yeah! (Though my birthdays are in retrograde starting this year, just FYI) :P

Happy holidays to you, Cat and Pup! Ah...how I miss those Christmas mornings when my kids were Pup's age.

Now dd and ds stay up later than Santa mom and dad, check the stockings after we go to bed and sleep in Christmas morning!

The little savages. =)

Hmm, retrograde birthdays, must look into this. Don't usually think much about age but mines a biggie this year and coming up soon. :(
