50k DONE. Cat's a few seconds behind me and the Basil Hayden's is waiting for a toast!
Gods... I honestly didn't think I was going to get there, much less finish the story arc at ALL this time. It's been a struggle the entire time to write. But then, this afternoon...I said to myself...ummm, hello... you are a writer...so get over yourself, and just write.
So that's why I hit over 6,000 words in one damn day. I'm not saying they're GOOD words, but they're words.
And you know what...they probably came out far more true to character because I was giving myself grief ;)
To those still writing, you KNOW you can do it. Just do it. If life intrudes...guess what...it's life! That's what happens and what is supposed to happen. Did I get to the gym as much as I was supposed to? No. Have I been eating as well I as I should have been? No. Has there been far more alcohol help than usual...yes.
But, I'm done.

Congratulations! I'm so proud of you. I'm so bummed that I didn't do it this year. Was all geared up and then "poof" totally got swept away in a another project and forgot. Ugh!
Good on you for sticking to it. Now it's time for the fun part ... REVISIONS!!!

Woohoo for you! I never did write anything, but now that I've quit Warcraft (well, raiding, anyway) I have far less of an excuse to load up Word these days.

It's so weird tonight to sit down and not be writing. I think I'll do something brainless...like that's new.

Congrats! And I hear you on the forgetting-other-stuff thing. More than once it's got to be dark and I've thought, "Hmm, I'm hungry," and realised I've actually forgotten to eat anything, I'm so absorbed in the writing.
6k in one day, that's pretty good!
