Getting past the 10k mark....
I've noticed something the last two years...for some reason, once I hit the 10k mark on word count, I'm left with...ok, where was I going? So, I have to rip my characters into a space they don't much like and have limited resources of getting out of...and then, I just have to hope the story follows suit.
So, for "Bound" - this year's Nano effort. Gian, my heroine, was getting too complacent and things were happening too easily...so what did I do?
I stuck the Goddess of Earth in a smooth cell with no visible means of escaping and chained her to the wall with shackles that seem to dampen energy, the same kind of shackles she already had around her feet which were keeping her from being able to use all her powers to begin with.
She's a little pissed off at me and feeling very grry.
